PROJECT ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT (Alexandria, VA):

An experienced professional is needed to work in our fast paced office environment. This position requires excellent organizational skills, demonstrated leadership qualities, marketing skills a plus, the ability to prepare complex document packages, and extensive Microsoft Office experience. Attention to detail is a must in this position. The ability to work with multiple managers is necessary. Coordinating meetings, document control, scheduling, and interface with customers will also be important facets of your work. FIELD SURVEY/INSTRUMENT PERSON: 

This job entails assisting team members with outside activities associated with various engineering and land surveying projects, support and implement the field requirements for project work as directed, data collection and management, and precision measuring using various equipment including robotic total station and GPS data collection to collect 3 dimensional data and attributes. Qualifications include an Associate’s degree, minimum 5 years documented field experience, the ability to work outdoors in various weather and site conditions, available to work overtime as needed, and must be a team player. AutoCAD 2010 and Civil 3D a plus. Must have a valid driver’s license.  Apply here.

 
CIVIL ENGINEER:

If your passion is making a difference in the community, we need you!  Experience in stormwater treatment design, site design/development, hydraulics, as well as being proficient with MS4, SPDES,  and NYSDEC stormwater regulations will add to our team’s strength.  Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and site design/development knowledge is required.  Experience with water and wastewater design and storm water modeling (SWMM, Hec-Ras) is a plus. Responsibilities also include assisting in the engineering and management of project assignments (technical lead) to meet the needs of Clients.   Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is required.  A PE is desired, but we will consider experience and background.  We are looking for candidates with between 4 and 10 yrs. experience.  You must have your own transportation for travel to job sites and client meetings. Apply here.

  

ARCHITECUTRAL DESIGN DRAFTER: 

Wendel is looking to add an architectural design/drafter to assist our team in design/drafting for project assignments.  Candidates should have experience in AutoCAD 2010, 3-D Computer Modeling, Revit 2011, Adobe Photoshop 7.0 and graphic ability.  Must have an Associate’s Degree in Architecture or Building Technology and 1-3 years of experience is preferred.  Apply here.

 

PROJECT ARCHITECT:

Wendel is looking to add an experienced project architect to our facilities team for the design and construction of public works and maintenance facilities.  Candidates should be licensed and very experienced (15 years or more), comfortable putting a project together and leading a project team through design and construction.    This is a “hands on” position with expected work products including; proposal preparation, project presentations, project plans and work scope, development of design and construction documents, facility assessments, services during construction, client contact, meeting leadership and documentation as well as mentoring junior staff.  Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must.  NCARB a plus.  Must have valid driver’s license and vehicle.  Apply here.

 

NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR:

Wendel is seeking a dynamic and outgoing professional to join our IT department.  In this position you would be responsible for network administration, routine operations, break-fix support and maintenance.  You would also analyze, troubleshoot and assist in installing, configuring and maintaining system hardware and software.  Critical skills include: effectively communicating in written and verbal form, excellent customer service, excellent problem-solver, self-motivated, the ability to work effectively in a team environment, prioritizing, and time management.  Travel may be required.  BS in computer science, engineering or computer information systems and a minimum of 3 years experience in IT network administration. Five years of experience and MCSE certification may be substituted for BS degree. Other information technology or project management certifications a plus. Projects including new construction and renovation of higher education, K-12, healthcare, intermodal and commercial facilities. ENERGY ENGINEER:

Position available in Wendel’s Buffalo and Long Island office for individuals with 2-5 years experience In Energy Engineering. Experience performing Energy Audits, Analysis, Design & Implementation of energy related facility improvements. BSME or BSEE required. BRIDGE ENGINEER/PROJECT MANAGER:

Wendel is seeking a Bridge Project Manager to assist with regional expansion in this field. Requirements include DOT bridge design experience in conjunction with a PE license, Bachelors in engineering and 10 years of related experience. The ability to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills are needed to successfully complete day to day operation of this position as a Project Manager.
