Project Objective
Wendel Duchscherer designed a major addition and renovations to the existing Town Hall Building. The
goal was to convert the building into a combined Village/Town facility housing the courts, police,
and Village/Town offices.

Solution
The new addition joined historic structure (Old Post Office) to the new facility in a manner that created
a unified concept to the Town Hall Complex. Unique features included an outdoor public green space, compliance with the State Historic Preservation Guideline, phasing the project to maintain on-going operations, and providing handicapped access, as well as modern police and courtroom facilities.
