Project Manager / Construction Manager (Columbus, OH):

This role will require a dynamic, highly motivated individual. A successful candidate is comfortable taking charge, reliable, and disciplined. We are looking for someone who is cooperative and possess a positive attitude. You need to have exceptional written and verbal communication skills and proficiency with project scheduling and project budget management is a must. Experience with construction management software (Primavera, Procore, Newforma, etc.) and scheduling (Primavera Suretrak, MS Project, etc.) is required. Working knowledge of MS Office Suite is necessary.

 

In this position you will be responsible for managing the simultaneous construction of energy conservation measures at multiple projects sites. These construction projects will be primarily focused on mechanical, electrical and controls improvements. In addition, you will assist with cost estimating by coordinating and soliciting subcontractor pricing during the project development phase. You will provide constructability review during the design phase, and lead bidding, negotiation and subcontracting efforts.

 

Qualifications and Education:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering or construction technology/management is preferred.
  • 10-15 years of related experience

 

Preferred Skills

  • PMP is a Plus.
  • OSHA 30 Training is a plus
  • Previous experience with Energy Services Company a plus
  • Expertise in multiple technical areas of Mechanical Systems
  • Responsible for completing multiple tasks on multiple projects
  • Management of multiple energy projects
  • Capable and responsible for QA/QC on assigned tasks and projects.
  • Proven management of construction projects
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate with internal staff and clients

Lead Energy/Conservation Engineer (Columbus, OH):

Lead Energy/Conservation Engineer, Project Manager: Wendel, a nationally recognized architecture, engineering, energy efficiency and construction management firm, is seeking a project manager with an energy engineering background to join our diverse and growing team in Columbus, OH. This role will require a dynamic and highly motivated individual whose values align with Wendel’s dedication to providing innovative and sustainable solutions for our clients. This new team member will be responsible for developing investment grade energy audits, from brainstorming to construction scope of works to implementation. You will also assist with management of design, bidding and construction for energy conservation projects. You will actively lead project teams with the development and implementation of ECMs across a variety of client sectors and facility types.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Field investigations
  • Data Collection
  • Utility Bill Analysis and Disaggregation
  • Energy Calculations
  • Energy Conservation Measure Descriptions
  • Manage the development of Energy Conservation Projects
  • ECM construction cost estimating and subcontractor pricing
  • Coordination with design team
  • Coordination with construction management
  • Sales Support
  • Mentor Energy Engineer and Energy Analysts
  • Project Accounting
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects
  • Collaboration with Project Managers
  • Development of measurement & verification (M&V) plans
  • Produce annual M&V reports
  • Review of Deliverables, QA/QC

Preferred Skills:

  • BS / MS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • PE license and/or Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or other industry related certifications preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Office software.
  • Building modeling experience a plus.
  • Expertise in multiple technical areas of Energy Engineering
  • Responsible for completing multiple tasks on multiple projects
  • Management of multiple energy projects
  • Capable and responsible for QA/QC on assigned tasks and projects.
  • Capable and proven developer of new ECM calculations, checklists and other internal tools
  • Ability to provide sales support and new ECM’s during preliminary assessment

  • Ability to collaborate with internal staff and clients
