Cobblestone Lofts

Adaptive Re-Use Upscale Condominiums

As the first phase in a 20 million dollar adaptive re-use project located in the lower Main Street spine of downtown Buffalo, the Cobblestone Lofts is the conversion of a circa 1915 warehouse building into 36 upscale condominiums in a 75,000 square foot, five story building. The project involved the re-use of four existing buildings, marking the catalyst for the rebirth of the Historic Cobblestone District. The building originally served as a warehouse facility, and was constructed of steel reinforced monolithic concrete floors and columns. The columns were designed for warehouse storage and were located too frequently to allow the building to function properly as luxury condominiums. Columns were removed to open the space and permit open loft style living. Exterior green patios overlook the urban environment below while the first floor provides high bay restaurants and retail space.
