Mixed-Use Urban Development
For many years, Millard Fillmore Hospital commanded the view of Gates Circle, an Olmsted-designed feature connecting travelers with Delaware Park and the City. The hospital was recently demolished and a new urban mixed-use development is in the development stage incorporating many services to benefit the surrounding community. Residential space includes a mix of rental and condominiums and 53 independent living apartments as well as an assisted living component owned and operated by Canterbury Woods. Grocery, office, health and wellness and services are also planned.
The Wendel team has provided master planning and site design services for this multi-acre site. Other services included architecture, surface transportation, survey, and landscape architecture. The team will design access roads; traffic calming mechanisms; utility placement; grading; stormwater, water, and sanitary services to support the multiple buildings that will occupy this site.
