M&T Tech Hub

The M&T Tech Hub transformed Buffalo’s iconic Seneca One Tower into a dynamic destination for technology, innovation, and collaboration. As Architect and Engineer of Record, Wendel partnered with Antunovich Associates to help deliver the 330,000 SF workplace, leading the technical development of the design, project documentation, and construction administration.

Designed for approximately 1,500 technologists, the Tech Hub spans ten tower floors and two expansive podium levels, bringing together open workspaces, collaboration areas, wellness rooms, cafés, conference spaces, a technology bar, arcade, reading room, command center, and a grand stair connecting key gathering areas. Working closely with M&T Bank’s corporate real estate team, Wendel helped create an environment that supports innovation, employee engagement, and continuous learning.

A key component of the project is the Tech Academy, a dedicated space for training, professional development, and workforce advancement. Together, these spaces support M&T Bank’s commitment to attracting top technology talent while strengthening opportunities for Buffalo’s growing technology community.

More than a workplace, the M&T Tech Hub serves as a catalyst for the continued revitalization of downtown Buffalo. By helping transform one of Western New York’s most recognizable buildings into a modern technology hub, Wendel contributed to a project that reinforces Buffalo’s emergence as a center for innovation, economic growth, and talent development.
