Wendel has provided municipal professional services, including serving as the Town/District Engineer for several municipalities, acting as as an extension of staff. These clients maintain a wide variety of infrastructure, from public water, sanitary sewer, stormwater systems, and municipal facilities.
Our team will be with you every step of the way on your project. This could include anything from attending informational and municipal board meetings, supporting contract negotiations, or reviewing developer proposals.
We provide our professional services on initiatives varying from small to very large, complex, multi-discipline projects. Our expertise includes regulatory agency approval documentation and engineering services for operation, maintenance and services during construction. We will also provide engineering feasibility reports, studies, and schematic designs, review subdivision and site plans, and design Capital Improvements for public bid.
We are experts in green infrastructure including stormwater management, floodplain regulation assistance and analysis, shoreline resiliency, and waterway infrastructure including master planning, stormwater pollution prevention, permits and inspection, and more.
We have a long history offering State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQR), State Environmental Review Process (SERP), and National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) review and coordination services to our municipal and private clients. We assist communities with proposed project review, the completion of the review process including preparation or the review of environmental documentation.
Often, the first step in obtaining project grants and funding is recognizing eligibility. We help our clients identify opportunities and develop projects that best serve their communities and leverage available funding. We provide assistance in application development, from needs assessments and preliminary engineering reports, to mapping and environmental review, to budgetary cost estimates and application preparation and submission. We also provide services during project implementation to support compliance with grant and funding requirements.
Improving system resiliency with two new 10 MDG vertical turbine pumps, new 800 kW diesel engine emergency generator and associated improvements.
This project included the design and installation of approximately 8,450 lineal feet of 8- and 10-inch PVC waterline in the Town of Lockport. A new waterline was installed into the same trench as the existing one, creating the need for temporary above-ground bypass waterlines. Wendel provided planning and permitting support, design, and construction services.
