Communication is key.

Effective communication and cooperation between engineering disciplines, the design team, constructors and key stakeholders is essential for a successful project. Our team begins this communication at project kick-off, and maintains the flow of information and ideas until the ribbon is cut on your new building.

This project studied several options for the Lawrence Downtown Transfer Center which included renewed traffic pattens, canopied bus boarding, bus shelters, a driver amenity facility as well as bicycle accommodations. The project focused on the layout and cost analysis of several concept design options for the Transfer Center.

The facility is located on a large open site that provides excellent opportunities for an efficient arrangement of building, parking and site circulation.

Working closely with Buffalo Water personnel, Wendel completed a comprehensive examination and developed a capital improvement plan (CIP) for five facilities: Colonel Ward Pumping Station, Filtration Building, Massachusetts Avenue Pumping Station, Grover Cleveland Tank, and the Manhattan Pump Station and Tank.
