Wendel assisted Brockenbrough in the design of their new workplace at Westhampton Commons. The financial firm was ready to move beyond a traditional office model and create an elevated, sophisticated environment that supports openness, transparency, and stronger client relationships. The new space reflects the firm’s evolution from a conventional, compartmentalized layout to a modern setting that communicates confidence, expertise, and approachability.
Our team worked closely with Brockenbrough to translate their culture and service philosophy into a unified architectural and interior experience. Every decision supports a workplace that feels professional, warm, and welcoming. At the center of the plan is an open client engagement zone, designed as a hub of activity and relationship building. This area replaces the typical reception desk with a hospitality inspired environment that encourages natural interaction between clients and advisors. The space sets a tone of accessibility the moment someone arrives.
Glass fronted offices and transparent meeting suites offer privacy while allowing daylight to move through the floorplate. This approach supports spatial openness without compromising confidentiality. Critical financial functions remain efficient and secure, supported by thoughtful adjacencies and well planned circulation.
The completed workplace strengthens Brockenbrough’s connection to clients and reinforces their identity as a trusted financial partner. The design balances sophistication and comfort, delivering an environment that supports productive work, meaningful conversations, and a forward looking practice.
