Wendel is seeking a Director of Information Technology responsible for leading the strategy, operations, financial management, and staff development for the Information Technology department in support of Wendel business objectives. This position oversees the implementation and maintenance of all Wendel technology solutions, with a strong emphasis on cybersecurity, project management, and quality management. This position is also responsible for support of new technology initiatives, ensuring compliance with software licensing, industry security standards, and industry best practices. The Director of Information Technology is an actively engaged and collaborative role with company leadership, key stakeholders, all disciplines and multiple office locations to define technology solutions that enhance the efficiency, security, and innovation of all Wendel teams.

Key Responsibilities and Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • 10-15 years of experience in an IT leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, regulatory compliance framework, cybersecurity, cloud computing, enterprise applications, and databases.
  • Extensive experience in cybersecurity frameworks, threat analysis, and risk mitigation.
  • Proven experience in IT program and project management, including planning, execution, and stakeholder communication.
  • Strong business acumen, leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to build consensus, facilitate cooperation, commitment, and be results oriented.
  • Ability to foster an environment of collaboration, trust and team spirit.
  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, PMP, ITIL, or Six Sigma are a plus.

Salary range

$140,000 – $180,000

Wendel is committed to providing fair, competitive, and market-informed compensation. The salary offered will be determined based the successful candidates’ relevant education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities. The salary offered will also take into consideration regional adjustment factors.
