Wendel is looking to add a Senior Structural Engineer to our team! In this position you will work on high profile projects in a collaborative, multi-discipline, architectural and engineering office environment.  This position can be located out of any of our offices and we offer a Hybrid work schedule.

Responsibilities:

• Analysis, design and computer modeling of structures.
• Coordination with architectural, mechanical, electrical and civil disciplines to complete projects.
• Production of plans, details and specifications.
• Review of shop drawings, construction administration.
• Full responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing and coordinating assignments.
• Plans and develops engineering projects concerned with unique or controversial complexities which have important impact on major company programs.
• The exploration of subject area, definition of scope, selection of areas for investigation and development of novel concepts.
• Acts as technical liaison to individuals within and outside the organization with responsibility to act independently regarding technical matters pertaining to individual’s field.
• Analysis and design of building/facility structural systems/components in steel, concrete, masonry, wood, etc., and taking projects from concept phase, to final design, and through construction.
• Participate in project, construction, client and team meetings.
• Minimal travel to project sites local and non-local.
• Conducting facility assessments, writing technical reports, editing material specifications.
• Coordination with other Engineers, Engineering interns, CAD Technicians and other disciplines will be required.

Qualifications:

• Must have a Bachelors of Science Degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Structural Engineering.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in Structural Engineering is required.
• PE Required, Structural Engineering (SE) license preferred.
• Working knowledge of structural engineering software (Bentley RAM products), 3d modeling software (REVIT and AutoCAD), Microsoft Excel, BlueBeam.
• Must demonstrate outstanding communications skills, problem solving skills, group/independent work, time management, technical writing, technical knowledge, technical drawings knowledge, structural codes and standard knowledge (ASCE 7, AISC 360, ACI 318 etc.).
• Design experience in a wide range of structural materials and project types.

Salary Range: $90,000 – $130,000

Wendel is currently seeking a Water Resource Engineer who will manage environmental regulatory compliance programs, permitting and reporting. The Water Resource Engineer will provide leadership on projects with responsibility for developing site or project compliance strategy, performing as a liaison within the company and with regulators; planning, scheduling, and executing programs while demonstrating a high degree of judgement, expertise, and leadership in the field. This hybrid position can be out of any of the Wendel offices located in NYS.

This is the right position for you if:

• You are experienced in all aspects of field investigation (drafting work plans, permitting, coordinating field teams and subcontractors, and sample collection), data evaluation, report writing, and client communication.
• You are passionate towards Engineering design for environmental projects, including preparation of drawings, specifications, calculations, and other design deliverables, and developing operation, maintenance, and monitoring plans.
• You truly enjoy project management work.
• You are great with client relations and your communication skills are top notch.
• You can review and interpret regulations and obtain the correct permits.
• Ensuring compliance with DOE, other federal, state, and local environmental regulations, and requirements by developing plans and objectives which provide for project conformance is exciting to you.
• You are able to travel to job sites and work outside of the office setting some of the time, conducting site and subsurface monitoring for environmental projects, operation & maintenance of remediation systems, as well as monitoring contractor activities during construction.

You will have:

• Experience with the full range of an environmental project lifecycle, including feasibility studies, conceptual design, budgetary cost development, detailed design, and contractor selection.
• Experience with remediation systems, including water pumping and treatment, vapor extraction, construction dewatering, permitting and contractor management.
• Experience with restoration projects.
• BA/BS degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Natural Sciences.
• A PE License is not required but desired.
• Mastery knowledge of environmental compliance.
• Familiarity with local, state, and federal permitting agencies.
• Experience with industry specific software applications including HEC-RAS, HydroCAD and SWMM.
• Demonstrated experience with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, stormwater and site design.

Wendel has an established a presence in NYS and we are seeking an experienced and hardworking Mechanical Engineer to lead, organize, manage and execute Mechanical Engineering work within our current project portfolio.

Responsibilities:

• Business development and client relations.
• Perform HVAC, HVAC controls, chillers, boiler, water distribution, ductwork, plumbing, and fire protection systems design for clients primarily focused in the Northeast.
• Portfolio and project management.

Qualifications:

• The ideal candidate has a consultant background and see’s the big picture.
• 10 plus years of Mechanical Engineering experience, especially with air handling and distribution systems, ventilation/exhaust, hydronic, HVAC, building controls, and process piping systems.
• Firm understanding of industry standards, regulations, and codes.
• Ideal candidate has a BS in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited 4-year institution.
• PE license is highly desired but not required.
