Newly appointed Senior Associate Principals include George Barbari, PE, CEM; Matt Baron, PE; Ruslan Belous, Dave Kenyon, RLA, ASLA, LEED AP; and Justin Parish, RA. This appointment recognizes professionals for their exemplary leadership and commitment to excellence. George Barbari is a University at Buffalo and SUNY Fredonia graduate with a degree in both Mechanical Engineering and Physics. His expertise is in sustainable design, data analysis, project management, and financial and economic analysis. He has been with Wendel for six years. Matt Baron has been a Mechanical Engineer with Wendel for 15 years. Initially joining as an intern, Mr. Baron is a member of our mechanical team, working closely with the Energy Efficiency group and performs mechanical design for the renovation and new construction of HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems in commercial and municipal facilities. In addition to his valuable technical skillset, he helps elevate the team’s performance by acting as a mentor, promoting sustainability, and implementing technology and innovation. Ruslan Belous has been with Wendel for 16 years, over a decade of which has been spent working in electrical design including lighting, power, fire alarms, and systems for new and existing buildings. He has worked on numerous school renovation projects, new building utilities, primary and secondary power distribution, and emergency generator installations both for private and public installations. Dave Kenyon has 39 years of experience in landscape architecture and site development, 36 of which have been with Wendel. Initially joining Wendel as a landscape architecture draftsman, he gained the required experience ultimately leading him to becoming a licensed landscape architect. As a Senior Landscape Architect, he takes pride in working on muti-discipline teams on a wide range of projects including parks and recreation facilities, streetscapes, multi-use pathways, public transportation facilities, schools and sports facilities. Justin Parish has been with Wendel for 10 years, in which time he has worked on a number of different project types including, K-12 schools, midrise mixed use commercial buildings, multifamily housing, and hotels and serves as the leader for our K-12 client sector. Heavily invested in education and the future of the industry, Mr. Parish has volunteered for the Emerging Professionals Committee of AIA Buffalo/WNY for portfolio reviews and mock interviews of students from the University at Buffalo.
