Wendel provided full-service architecture, engineering, and construction management for a new two-story Dash’s Market on the corner of Hertel and Starin in North Buffalo, a significant redevelopment project for this neighborhood.
The building includes a new market, café, full-service specialty shops, prepared foods, street side patios, offices, and parking. Special features include historic brick detailing and a green roof open to the second floor.
Unique civil engineering aspects performed included demolition, site grading, stormwater management, site layout, utilities, and City of Buffalo approvals to construct the project.
The mechanical design included 11 pack-aged rooftop air handling units, kitchen exhaust system and make-up air unit, boilers, pumps, snow-melt system, unit heaters, and generator intake and exhaust.
