We are pleased to welcome Chief Vaughan Miller, Ret., to Wendel’s Public Safety team in our Columbus office. Vaughan brings 35 years of service with the Ventura County Fire Department in California, where he advanced through the ranks and retired as Deputy Fire Chief, overseeing daily operations and administration. He holds a Bachelor of Science in architecture from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, and now supports our clients as a public safety designer with Wendel, Five Bugles Design, and Mitchell Associates Architects, focusing on station design, staffing, and organizational studies. Vaughan is passionate about future fire service operations, emerging technologies, and equipment, with a clear goal of helping fire station design keep pace with a rapidly evolving profession.
