GIS Developer (Williamsville, NY, Rochester, NY, Atlanta, GA, Washington, D.C., Richmond, VA):

Wendel, an ESRI business partner, is seeking an innovative GIS Application Developer with expert development skill for our Atlanta, CA, Alexandria, VA, Richmond, VA, Williamsville, NY or Rochester, NY offices. The location of this position is flexible based on your geographic location. In this role you will support company wide projects and clients across different disciplines. The selected candidate will lead and be involved in all phases of application development life cycle, from requirements gathering, analysis and design, development, testing, implementation of GIS solutions, and documentation.
The ideal candidate must have extensive GIS experience at an enterprise level in addition to database development/management and programming. The applicant will have the primary responsibility of administering and maintaining Wendel’s ArcGIS Server, ArcSDE databases, Portal for ArcGIS, ArcGIS Online and GIS software infrastructure, as well as, administering and maintaining client ArcGIS Servers and their GIS software infrastructure. This candidate will develop new GIS web-based applications and maintain and enhance existing GIS applications and geoprocessing scripts.
Applicants must have a minimum of 3 years of experience developing web and desktop GIS solutions, a Bachelors Degree in GIS, Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Geography of related discipline and have experience in Java, Visual Studio and SQL Management Studio.  Experience developing GIS solutions using JavaScript, C#, .NET and ESRI tools are also preferred.

Survey CAD Technician (Williamsville, NY, Rochester, NY):

Wendel is looking for a survey CAD technician to join our team.  The location of this opportunity is flexible based on your geographic location and can be filled in our Williamsville, NY or Rochester, NY offices. In this position, you will assist in the completion of design/drafting project assignments to meet the needs of our clients.  This will include CAD, boundary and topographic mapping.  The ideal candidate must excel in a team environment with a positive attitude.  You will need to be adaptable and forward thinking.  An Associate’s Degree in related field (or near completion) and/or a minimum of 2-year documented AutoCAD experience is required. Experience with Civil 3D, land surveying or civil engineering is a plus.

Water/Wastewater Engineer (Mid Level) (Williamsville, NY, Syracuse, NY, Rochester, NY):

This position location is flexible and dependent on your geographic location. This position will serve as both a technical lead and project manager for medium to large scale design and construction projects including distribution system and collection system improvements as well as water and wastewater treatment plant rehabilitation work. Cost Estimator (Williamsville, NY):

This position will assist in the growth and development of our Construction Management Practice Area. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of experience in Construction Cost Estimating and Construction Management of multidiscipline buildings and infrastructure projects. An Associate’s Degree in Construction Technology/ Management, Engineering or Architecture is preferred. Proficiency and significant experience with General and MEP Construction Cost Estimating at the Concept Level through detailed Bid Level estimates is required. Use of cost estimating software and development of detailed quantity take offs and application of historical cost data to prepare estimates is essential. Ability to also play a role in the field and/or office oversight, coordination and management of multiple prime sub-contracts, administration of projects, use of scheduling software and use of construction management software is a plus. Water/Wastewater Resource Manager (Williamsville, NY):

Wendel, a nationally recognized architecture, engineering, energy, and construction management professional services firm, has a leadership opportunity in the technical discipline of water/wastewater engineering. This leadership position is titled “Resource Manager” and has the critically important role of coordinating project work with our water/wastewater leaders and technical team. Responsibilities include scheduling of project teams, coordinating team commitments and deadlines, managing the groups utilization, technical training, quality, mentoring and coaching of technical professionals. This leadership role serves as a liaison between company management objectives and technical team project efforts.

In addition to Resource Manager, this position includes the project roles of technical lead and project manager for medium to large scale design and construction projects.      · Asset evaluation and related long-term capital planning

In this position you will become the trusted advisor to our established water clients and supplement our sales team in the development and securing of new project work. You will represent the Wendel Water Group on a regional and national level through professional organizations, technical presentations, and key partnerships. Ideal candidates for this position would have existing experience in the water discipline, however individuals seeking to leverage a broad portfolio of experience who are interested in becoming focused within the Water market will also be considered. A Bachelor’s or Masters of Science degree in Civil, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering or related fields is required. A PE is preferred, but we will consider experience and background.
