GIS Application Developer (Williamsville, NY, Rochester, NY, Washington, D.C., Richmond, VA, Atlanta, GA):

Wendel, an ESRI business partner, is seeking an innovative GIS Application Developer with expert development skill for our Atlanta, CA, Alexandria, VA, Richmond, VA, Williamsville, NY or Rochester, NY offices. The location of this position is flexible based on your geographic location. In this role you will support company wide projects and clients across different disciplines. The selected candidate will lead and be involved in all phases of application development life cycle, from requirements gathering, analysis and design, development, testing, implementation of GIS solutions, and documentation.
The ideal candidate must have extensive GIS experience at an enterprise level in addition to database development/management and programming. The applicant will have the primary responsibility of administering and maintaining Wendel’s ArcGIS Server, ArcSDE databases, Portal for ArcGIS, ArcGIS Online and GIS software infrastructure, as well as, administering and maintaining client ArcGIS Servers and their GIS software infrastructure. This candidate will develop new GIS web-based applications and maintain and enhance existing GIS applications and geoprocessing scripts.
Applicants must have a minimum of 3 years of experience developing web and desktop GIS solutions, a Bachelors Degree in GIS, Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Geography of related discipline and have experience in Java, Visual Studio and SQL Management Studio.  Experience developing GIS solutions using JavaScript, C#, .NET and ESRI tools are also preferred.

Transit Architect (Buffalo, NY, Washington, D.C., Atlanta, GA, Minneapolis, MN):

Are you an experienced Architect who has spent many years focused on transit work?  Wendel, a nationally recognized, award-winning Architectural firm is currently looking to add a Transit Architect to our team of architecture professionals.  The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of experience working on BRT, light rail, and intermodal design, all while working within Revit.

Our Transit Architect will lead their own portfolio of work and will come with a track record of client satisfaction.  They should be able to lead a project team and will thoughtfully interact with engineering.  Communication and client presentation skills are also important for this position.  Financial management of projects and ability to be flexible would be great to have as well.

K-12 Architect (Buffalo, NY):

Are you an experienced Architect who is looking for a lead design position in our K-12 portfolio?   Wendel, a nationally recognized multi-discipline architecture firm is looking for a mid to senior level architect with a large portfolio of K-12 work to join our team-first culture.

Our ideal candidate will have experience working with WNY school districts on facility upgrade projects to include building condition surveys, pre-referendum planning, as well as design, construction document preparation and CA for built projects.   They should also have an established network of contacts in the K-12 market to assist with business development efforts.  Managing client portfolios, project teams and individual projects will be the key to being successful in this role.  Some experience working with Revit is preferred, but not required.

This position location is flexible and dependent on your geographic location. This position will serve as both a technical lead and project manager for medium to large scale design and construction projects including distribution system and collection system improvements as well as water and wastewater treatment plant rehabilitation work. Project Development Manager – Construction (Williamsville, NY):

Lead Energy Engineer (Phoenix, AZ):

Wendel, a nationally recognized energy services, engineering, architecture and construction firm that is dedicated to innovative and sustainable solutions for our clients is looking to hire a Lead Energy Engineer in our Phoenix, AZ office. In this position you will be responsible for developing comprehensive and investment grade energy audits including data collection, utility bill disaggregation and benchmarking. Other responsibilities include field visits, energy calculations, cost estimates and contractor pricing, energy measure descriptions and detailed work scope packages. You will also assist with management of design, bidding and construction and actively lead project teams with the development and implementation of energy conservation measures (ECMs) across a variety of client sectors and facility types.

Preferred Skills:

  • PE license and/or Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or other industry related certifications
  • Building modeling and commissioning/retro-commissioning experience
  • Expertise in multiple technical areas of Energy Engineering, preferably HVAC and control systems
  • Responsible for completing multiple tasks on multiple projects

Cost Estimator (Williamsville, NY):

     · Asset evaluation and related long-term capital planning

In this position you will become the trusted advisor to our established water clients and supplement our sales team in the development and securing of new project work. Ideal candidates for this position would have existing experience in the water discipline, however individuals seeking to leverage a broad portfolio of experience who are interested in becoming focused within the Water market will also be considered.
