Wendel Names New Associate Principals

Wendel, a nationally recognized architecture, engineering, energy efficiency, and construction management firm, is pleased to announce that David Guido, Jacob Mullen, PE, Jennifer Polacek, AIA, Sheila Ransbottom, PE, Luis F. Rivera, Jr., LEED GA, and Chris Robinson have been appointed to the position of Associate Principal. This appointment recognizes these professionals for their exemplary leadership and commitment to excellence.

David Guido, Program Manager, Construction, has more than 30 years of experience working in the construction industry on various types of projects. He provides constructability review and cost oversight during the design process; bidding, procurement, and contract administration during the pre-construction phase; and full construction management and administration during construction for various clients. He is responsible for overseeing the construction process to ensure that quality control is followed, ensuring the project schedule is kept on track, costs are kept within budget, and safe construction practices are maintained throughout the entire project so all of the clients’ expectations are met.

Jacob Mullen has eight years of experience working as a structural engineer. He has provided engineering services on a variety of residential, commercial, educational, and industrial projects. Among his engineering skills are structural assessments, structural analysis and design, preparation of construction documents, and construction administration.

Jennifer Polacek is an Architect and holds dual Resource Manager roles in Wendel’s Eau Claire, Wisconsin and Minneapolis, Minnesota offices. She has 20 years of experience as a Designer, Project Coordinator, and Interior Specialist, and joined Wendel four years ago. She has worked on various project types ranging from medical office buildings and mixed-use projects to restaurants and multi-family housing. Jennifer’s focus on project management and interior design allows her to work closely with clients from the early stages of a project, where she aids in the processes of consultant coordination, state and local approvals, and client representation during Planning and City Council meetings. Jennifer’s involvement in these early-stage project activities, combined with her technical and artistic talent in the design phase, make her a valuable member of project teams from project inception through completion.

Sheila Ransbottom, Senior Civil/Transportation Engineer, has 28 years of professional experience in Civil, Transportation, and Environmental engineering. She has been Project Manager for projects of various types, including civil/site, roadway rehabilitation/reconstruction, traffic studies, environmental projects, and renewable energy. Sheila has led infrastructure projects for numerous Western NY municipalities, many state agencies and federal agencies. Most recently Sheila has led Wendel’s growth in the Private Solar development field and helped to create a Renewable Energy group.

Luis Rivera is an Energy Engineer, Project Manager and Regional Office Leader in Wendel’s Columbus, Ohio office. He began his career with Wendel in 2017 and brings over thirty years of experience, including service in the US Army as a member of the US Army Corp of Engineers. He has been an integral part of numerous projects throughout the United States working in the private, municipal, transit, K-12, and university sectors.

Chris Robinson has more than 21 years of experience in the commercial construction industry. As a project and construction manager, he provides leadership in communicating with members of the design and construction teams and the client. He also oversees project budgets and schedules. Chris is an integral part of the team and drives success to each project that he’s part of.
