The design concept of this facility was to preserve the open volume of the existing space while incorporating many contemporary elements.
The design team introduced unique architectural and finish elements through the use of textured accent walls, glass tile, metal elements, specialty paint and wallcoverings, custom graphics, and specialty lighting. A surprise design feature was the use of a 15’ high plexiglass “bubble” wall at the reception desk which changes colors and provides movement.
The Building, formerly a grocery store, was warmly received by this community and is one of the few recent adaptive reuse projects in the area. The renovated interior is a sophisticated, state-of- the-art fitness facility.
