ECDPW Clarence Maintenance Facility Fuel System Design & Management

As part of the Environmental Compliance Retainer services, Wendel was requested to design a new fueling island system located at the ECDPW Clarence Maintenance Facility. Wendel performed predesign investigation and surveys to determine the location for the fueling system. Our team was responsible for the environmental compliance permitting of the new fuel island in accordance with NYSDEC Petroleum Bulk Storage Regulations. In addition, Wendel prepared design plans, specifications and provided services during bidding. These services included addressing and issuing responses to contractor questions, construction administration including leading construction meetings and completing numerous engineering tasks including field revisions, design tasks and review of as-built information.

As part of this project, a 6,000 gallon underground storage tank and contaminated soil was removed and disposed of. Wendel and Watts Engineering were responsible for ensuring the proper procedures were being followed.
