Wendel was engaged to evaluate the existing campus and develop plans to allow for a greater number of single bed rooms, short term care, appropriate memory care space, and a planned CBRF. Master planning to a budget target, there are two distinct additions for short term rehab and dementia and memory care with 20 beds in each addition. The short term community is designed with a hospitality design focus and is arranged for the most conducive rehabilitation environment.

Dementia and memory care is designed with the special needs of those residents in mind with an internal courtyard and a circular corridor to allow continuous walking. Rehabilitation services are afforded safer entrance and connectivity for staff from the short term community. Purposeful design allows for future CBRF as well as a long term care addition targeted at growing the number of single beds.
