Our Landscape Architects recently assisted developer and restaurateur Rocco Termini in the design and layout of Tappo’s expanded rooftop terrace. Tappo (Italian for “Cork”) is a popular Italian restaurant located in Downtown Buffalo.
The expansion includes flooring, signage, raised planters, built-in sofa-style seating and additional bar tops. Wendel proposed a custom-made outdoor wine rack as an alternative to lattice screening that incorporated empty wine bottles. This unique and somewhat unconventional screening method also serves as a backdrop for colorful vines, which will grow throughout the wine bottles.
