Design of CNG Facilities

Waste Management has envisioned that all of their vehicles throughout the U.S. will eventually be CNG-fueled, and has already begun transitioning from diesel-fueled vehicles to CNG. The next step in the process was to design and construct the facilities required to fuel these vehicles. Waste Management hired ET Environmental to manage the design and construction of these facilities, and ET Environmental retained Wendel to create a complete design package. Electrical, mechanical, plumbing and structural drawings were all included in the package delivered by Wendel. Design services entailed an existing conditions review, equipment layout for CNG piping, electrical power and controls routing and a modern HVAC design approach. Wendel also performed code review and handled all permitting and licensing on behalf of the client.
