Architectural Design Internship

POSTED 12-05-2024

Minneapolis, MN

Wendel is seeking enthusiastic Architecture student to intern at our Minneapolis office location! We are looking for those who thrive in a fast paced, team focused, and collaborative studio – working environment.

As an intern, you’ll have the opportunity to work on projects as a fully integrated member of the team, from initial design studies to construction documentation. More than most firms, we provide project leadership and encourage collaboration between all team members. We frequently work hand in hand with graphic designers, interiors specialists, fabricators and other architects, many of whom are considered leaders in their respective fields. Wendel’s internship program balances project work with education sessions about the field to create a comprehensive overview for our interns.

Internship Purpose

  • Work on real life projects like schools, private development, and transportation facilities.
  • Actively work on projects with team members in Minneapolis, but also other architects in other offices.
  • Collaborate with team members of all levels.
  • Assist with actual project tasks, such as conceptual design, construction administration, detailing and red lines. These tasks are dependent on the projects in the office at the time of the internship.
  • Develop a better understanding of the architecture field.
